The treatment helps restore the original appearance of the roof, while modifying and improving it.

Application must be on a rainless day, temperature range from 40 to 100F, and average wind velocity not exceeding 20-25mph. Depending on the temperature, penetration time is anywhere from 2-4-6 hours. If it is 80F, and it rains 3 hours after application, the application will have already penetrated. 

GoNano products are not harmful to people or pets. Contractors are advised to wear a mask during installs. In the event of a wind gust overspray, people need to stay clear below, vehicles should be parked off street, and anything else be moved or covered.

Yes, the GoNano contractor will do small repairs such as replacing shingles that are lost, broken or have become loose. Another common repair is to permanently fix small leaks in plumbing vent pipes without replacing shingles by installing a Perma-Boot.

The primary culprit for black streaking in Central Iowa is an algae called Gloeocapsa magma, a type of blue-green algae that feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles. The GoNano contractor may offer a safe soft wash or if not soft washed off, a GoNano treatment will starve the algae, and cause it to eventually disappear after 2-3 months. 

Insurance companies are becoming more and more familiar with GoNano as a roof protectant. Within a week after an installation, Nanosilica Contractors will contact the home’s insurance carrier to discuss the benefits, which may result in a premium discount. 

The water beading effect will diminish after about 5-8 years, depending on the local weather conditions, but this does not impact the product’s performance. The product continues to perform well throughout the entire 10-15 year period.
Yes! All of our products reflect UV rays, PLUS, limits heat absorption, slow aging and prevents discoloration

No! GoNano does NOT change fire susceptibility, as tested by UL Standards under Fire standard UL790 (Class A shingles remain Class A).

One treatment of GoNano NuRoof Revive will increase residential roofs’ lifespan by 10 to 15 years, with another treatment due (recommended) at the 10 year mark once the warranty expires.  For Fortify, it’s 15-20 years, and at 15 years for retreating. For Bio-Boost, it’s 5 years, and retreat or replace shingles.  

One treatment is effective, and will enhance the following aspects: 
1. Hailstorm resistance.  2. Wind resistance. 3. Water infiltration resistance. 4. The hydrophobic lifespan. Retreatments are recommended at the end of the warranties: Fortify at 15 years (for new homes or less than 8 years old), Revive at 10 years (roofs 8 years or older), and. upon careful inspection, Bio-Boost at 5 years for roofs that are at the fringe of replacement. 

 

 

GoNano products are sold by Nanosilica Contractors at wholesale prices to approved contractors. Approved contractors must be registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing, carry liability insurance, receive training, and wear safety equipment.
